Thank you for purchasing our delicious organic kombucha. You already have the first empty bottles?

For the sake of the environment, we use sustainable 330ml reusable Euro bottle with a deposit of €0.25 per bottle. This corresponds to a total of €3.00 per box of 12. This amount is added separately to the shipping costs in our Online-Shop and is included in the total price on Amazon.

There are two options for returning our reusable bottles:

1. Free deposit return

DPD delivers the bottles directly to your door - Why don't you send your deposit back to us? We've tried to make the deposit return as convenient as possible so you don't have to carry bottles anymore!

1. Collect at least 24 empty bottles in the original boxes

2. Apply for a free return label online

3. Stick max. 4 boxes together to one large package → one return label for all boxes

3. Drop-off at a DHL store or hand it to the DHL driver

4. Automatic deposit refund via voucher code within max. 2-4 weeks after checking the bottles in our bottle washing system

5. Cleaning and refilling of the bottles

Our request: For ecological and economic reasons, please return four boxes or more to us whenever it is possible. This helps us as a start-up and the environment.

2. Returns to retailers

In general, reusable bottles can be returned to retailers (excluding cafes and restaurants) if the bottles are in their range. This does not necessarily have to be Kombuchery, but can also be other brands. You can find our retailers throughout Germany here - throughout Germany we can be found at tegut or budni.

Unfortunately, the German deposit system is just as complicated as the chicken and egg problem. There are countless manufacturers and models of reverse vending machines, each one has to be activated manually for new bottles and the machines as well as the ranges vary from market to market. Unfortunately, there are also markets in which returns are not possible - we are working hard on a more customer-friendly solution and offer free returns as an alternative.

Important NOTE:
Many reverse vending machines recognize the bottle by the coding engraved on the bottom of the bottle. Please insert the bottle with the coding facing up and first into the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The free return of deposit bottles with DPD is only possible for a minimum number of 24 bottles. We had to set this minimum number, otherwise the ecological and economic impact of transport would exceed the added value of reuse.

However, it is best for the reusable cycle to return only 48 bottles or more. This means that from 48 bottles onwards, the reused bottle is not only cheaper than a new one, but also much more sustainable. So if you want to support not only us, but also the environment, then collect your bottles and wait until you have collected 48 before returning them.

The return label can also be printed out for you at the DPD branch or by the DPD driver if you show the QR code there.

No! You can send up to four boxes of 12 as one large package with one shipment, ie with one label. To do this, tape the boxes together to form a large package and stick the label on the entire, large package.

If you have a subscription with us and regularly send deposits back to us, please select the refund method to your registered payment method . The voucher codes can only be used for one-off orders in our online shop and cannot be stored in your subscription for technical reasons. It is also no longer possible to convert credit into a refund afterwards.
